Howard and Elina Waters
Hello!
I studied garden design at Hadlow College. Coupled with this I have 25 years experience working as a gardener, designer and landscaper in Kent, with brief experience landscaping in Adelaide Australia. I have spent 7 years working full time on a large country estate garden of 11 acres in Kent, growing fruit and vegetables and maintaining perennial borders and rose gardens which are open to the public and kept to a very high standard. I continue to work there on a contract basis now self-employed.
My experiences over the years on a large and small scale have given me the confidence to start up my own business. Any customers of GREEN HAND GARDENS are benefitting from my wealth of plant and vegetable growing knowledge, garden maintenance and design and landscaping experience. I have also been a professional and voluntary cricket pitch groundsman which brings experience of turf and lawn maintenance to a high standard. I have tree climbing and aerial cutting and rigging qualifications. Stump grinding and chipping certificates alongside pesticide application handheld and tractor boom spraying qualifications.
I am very passionate about leaving my customers and myself satisfied that I have delivered the highest standard of work. I love my job (when it's not raining) and I love to do a good job.
Not only do I love to take good care of my customers, but I love to take care of the environment I work in and take care not to unnecesarily disrupt the natural world I am often surrounded by. I always try to encourage and incorporate habitats for wildlife in any gardens I am tasked with designing or maintaining.
I am ably assisted in business by my wife Elina and together we work to enhance gardens and property.
Green Hand Gardens will often utilise other trades people to ensure that customers receive the highest standard of work for their particular project. Be it tree surgeons or bricklayers. Green hand gardens only use trusted reliable people who can work at the highest possible standard.
